I am back

Well I just got back from a trip to California. It was so nice out there. It got above 75 degrees once but it never felt hot because there was no humidity and the wind was always blowing. I am excited to say that I learned so much and met more great people than I ever expected to.

Newsletter

Hey it has been a while since anything real exciting has occurred here at work. Yesterday though Rosann and I printed and folded the newsletter that we had been working for the last month. We felt that the newsletter would blow people away, and when I went to deliver them to Lori Ross the reaction was just what we were hoping for. She was so excited she had them handed out before I even left the plant. I have uploaded the file to a free file sharing website you can find the link on the right under the links section click "Newsletter" and when at the file sharing site select the correct months newsletter you wish to view.

Mill Creek

Well today I went to the Mill Creek plant. I learned about the Supervisory and Data Acquisition. This computer system makes needed man power very limited. You can control the entire plant at multiple computer scattered through out the plant. You can see and monitor everything. If there is a system malfunction during the night the system will notify workers via a pager about the alarm giving the worker time to respond before any serious damage occurs.

Skills USA

Today I went to a convention at Bartle Hall. I helped with web design monitoring what was going on. I was also able to walk around. I would suggest going there to anyone. There was everything from hand tools to Matt Kenneth (NASCAR driver) to computer competition and even a cooking competition.

6th day

Today was a less productive then I would have liked but I was able to get most of my work done. My boss Rosann is gone for vacation and that means I wont have my edited drafts back to me until Thusrsday. Oh well I can find something to work on.

My 5th day

Today was very productive it was like I almost knew what I was doing> HOW SCARY IS THAT. I love being able to say that I completed a project the same day it was assigned.

My fourth day

Today was just the same as all the rest. I was told what needed to get done and I worked towards it. I think this is going to be a great job and I hope to be an employee with JCW as long as possible.

My thrid day

That is me on the left, Mary Pegg in the center and Ed Andrews on the right. The two of them took Rosann and me on a tour of the Nelson Complex which is actually the Mission Main plant and Turkey Creek Plants combined into one name in order to reference the whole complex. It was very informative of all the stages of purification the water must go through before it is allowed into the stream.
